As a non-profit organisation, all donations, grants, and other contributions that Camp Out Inc. receives go towards maintaining accessibility and high quality programming at camp, and keeping our camp fees as low as possible for all campers and their families. Camp Out is staffed and run entirely by unpaid volunteers and we have a no-one turned away for lack of funds policy.
Yep we’ve just opened registrations for this year! The 2012 camp will be held September 24th-29th, check out www.campout.org.au for all the info.
If you’d like to get in touch with other people who have gone to camp before (and might be going again this year), head to our facebook page, there’s a few ex-campers who can answer questions over there :)
In the past most campers have come by themselves - it’s an awesome way to meet people - we’ve had a couple of pairs of friends come, we’ve had siblings, but yep mostly people come by themselves.
With the rooms and sleeping arrangements, there’s three big camper cabins and everyone is free to choose where they’d like to sleep. The cabins are all mixed gender, and there is a Camp Out crew member in each cabin too.
Hiya, the camp is held in northern NSW, about 4 hours north of Sydney. We have a free bus that collects people from Sydney, Newcastle and other places as needed. This year’s camp is being held September 24th - 29th in the spring school holidays, check out www.campout.org.au if you wanna download a registration form :)
